Rumsfield to take up blogging, at Collective Lounge. The record must be corrected. Terrorists are getting their side told. It is about time our heroic victory in Iraq got the attention it deserved. It takes a strong leader to put the fear of God into an interpretive community. Otherwise people will wander all over the map with their misreadings.
Joseph, I think the President said it best when he said, "Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we.” The Secretary of Defense knows what to do. We must trust his judgment.

Why would one be agnostic among interpretive communities? Is it even possible? Do we not, by our consumer choices, invest our very being in the brands by which we identify ourselves (and more perniciously still, in the hope that consumer choice can save us)?

Thank you, AKMA, and Margaret too, for the great piece of consumer "Idolatry." I look forward to reading your book, have not had a chance yet, but it is on the list.
