Lucy Berholz, one of the best philanthropy bloggers and a significant intellectual presence, has prudently delisted Wealth Bondage and Albert Ruesga from her blogroll. I can't blame her, Albert, it is a sign of the times. We knew we were running that risk when we started writing about philanthropy late at night, after a few drinks, laughing so hard we could hardly type. Lucy, I swear was never part of our irreverent fellowship. She never really darkened our door, except that one time on New Year's Eve, for the Wealth Bondage Charity Ball. She came as Little Bo Peep and danced with all the big wig guests. She accepted one glass of wine, but never drank it. She left with her virtue intact. Lucy, you are making a name for yourself. Go in peace. And here is your crozier. No hard feelings. I read you to learn the proper philanthropic tone in case I am ever that desperate. Pull your skirts up lest they drag in the gutter on your errand to and from the philanthropic capital markets. To the pure all things are pure, if they can just avoid bad companions. It is all good, as the editor says at Giftub. Maybe you could list him. He's meek enough, if you need more sheep.
