As a social venture entrepreneur I have built Wealth Bondage as a Limited Liability Company wholly owned by me. Wealth Bondage is operated in the public interest with a double bottom line, my personal profit (now over $200 billion a year) and the benefit of society. Wealth Bondage relieves stress, allows leaders to harmlessly blow off steam, make connections with other leaders, and to meet submissives needed to staff their empires. The connections made in Wealth Bondage stimulate capital formation, creates jobs, and promotes Freedom. As Wealth Bondage grows to scale, absorbing the functions of government, philanthropy, literature, religion, and the arts, the resulting economies will put the price of a professional beating within reach of every American citizen, regardless of race, color, gender or creed. We are all in Wealth Bondage now, Sweetie.
In response to increasing calls for transparency, the Gates Foundation has sent out a release stating, among other things, it would create
three new advisory panels and begin conducting anonymous satisfaction
surveys with grantees. Another leading philanthropist, Candidia Cruikshanks, CEO of Wealth Bondage, has informed the press corps she has generously agreed to fund Gift Hub for another year.
Of course the gift does come with certain conditions. As an engaged philanthropist, I want total fucking control of all blog content. In the best interest of Wealth Bondage, whose good name will not fall into disrepute on my watch, all posts will be reviewed and approved in advance by Smoky Joe, JD in our Department of Public Enlightenment. A footer will be appended to every post in no less than 14 point type, all caps: THIS POST PROVIDED AS A PUBLIC SERVICE THROUGH A GENEROUS GRANT FROM MISTRESS CANDIDIA CRUIKSHANKS, CEO OF WEALTH BONDAGE. The footer will link back to my bio. The editor's stupid looking picture will be replaced by a shot of my double-bottom line. Any problem with that, little man?
Peter Panepento in Chronicle of Philanthropy has a nice essay on the rise of philanthropy blogs, referencing White Courtesy Telephone and Gifthub. "Hidden in plain sight," the Dumpster is conspicuously absent from the article. Surely, a G3 Minim, an East Coast Minim at that, and a long time member of the Council on Foundations deserves better, Peter? I shall have to take the matter up with Mummy. Your supervisor will be hearing from her. Do not confuse good manners with weakness. We Minims expect our due. More anon. The scones are burning. Must scoot.
Bob Dylan's Masked and Anonymous was reviewed in Counterpunch by David Vest. He says the mass media are panning the film because they are satirized in it. Jeez, that sounds really boring. Jack, what else is playing?
Masquerade at Johns Hopkins gone terribly wrong? Or, a lack of perspective by the NAACP? My sense is that the NAACP should have staged their own party and dressed up as talk show hosts, think tank intellectuals, talk radio shock jocks, and others whose coded racism is hard to reach because it hides in a private transcript. Better we play out our stereotypes of one another in masquerade, and let the costumed figures open a dialogue, if only from behind their respective masks. What we have now under the suppressive logic of political correctness is a world in which the real masquerade is public policy. The guy with platinum grille is Karl Rove. And the guy in the Karl Rove mask is from the Hood. Wouldn't that be better than the silence, and the surreptitious racism that draws an electoral map that looks like the War Between the States?
Join an 18th Century Masquerade at Carlisle House. The tickets are priced low enough that even a poor person can go. Wear a costume and a mask. Who knows, perhaps you will meet and dance with a person of Wealth?
